I need not say more... wait, yeah I do. The Used RAWKS!!!

Seriously though, I actually use music to my advantage when writing poetry... I'll take whatever song is in my head and use its cadence to help me at the very least to get a rhythm going with that particular piece. I've got worse writing quirks than that... but I don't know if I should let them be known yet. ;-)

Love that about the unknown/smaller bands. You can really find those guys after the show and chat em up. I've done it on several occasions with Assemblage 23's front man and the VnV Nation guys. Fun to pick the brains of those dudes.

About the cadence of writing; I can't seem to write without something happening around me musically. Generally self-inflicted aural assault. Not just poetry, but novelizations I've written just HAVE to be done with music involved. Sometimes days in a row of one song being placed on repeat. Other times a large mix of 50 plus songs that have a feel or vibe. It's important. Glad I'm not alone on this one...thought I might have ADD. >:)
