The Horror on the Hill
There is a large unfrequented hill in the corner of Arkham called Covenant Hill. In its history spanning two hundred years, it earned the name of Covenant Hill because various sects and covens had gathered there. One of them is the Church of Starry Wisdom. One relatively unknown sect seceded them for about two years. They worshiped a deity called Arwassa. Arwassa is relatively unknown like his cult, but most claim that he is not related to the Old Ones.
Once, years after those covens had either disbanded or been forced to leave the territory, a young man of twenty four years had taken a private tour of the land. After a broad tour of Rhode Island, including Providence, and Massachusetts, including Salem and Arkham, he suddenly felt very tired and sleepy. However, he failed to return to his inn and fell asleep on the summit of Covenant Hill.
That night, he had a very strange and frightening dream: he dreamt of a coven of witches and strange beings worshiping a strange figure. It stood about 6' tall but, instead of arms, the torso ended with a mass of octopoid tentacles. Its neck ended with a toothless mouth. The last three nights of his tour, the youth stayed at the inn so as to avail of the security and comfort but, each night, after 3 AM, he dreamt of the coven. His dream changed from the coven and act of worship eventually to the strange creature ascending the hill. On the third night he dreamt that a stone tablet appeared and the creature handed it to the coven with its tentacles. The youth awoke at the moment that the coven received the tablet like Moses receiving the commandments. However, he dared not to tell anyone about these dreams.
The Covenant of Arwassa
In the remainder of the year that followed those dreams, strangers arrived in various cities of the known world. They usually arrived as pairs or couples. Whenever pairs of men arrived, they identified themselves as investors and required to look at land and utilities. Someone innocently helped them contact the suitable authority and take them on a tour of the land. They located a suitable spot and made a reasonable deposit on the space. Then they set up a simple office and advertised for help and servants. Likewise, couples arrived as tourists and went on similar guided tours. Following the tour, they rented a room or flat or a bungalow and advertised for servants.
To attract the attention and interest of the inhabitants, the arrivals would post a painted or printed image of as figure revered as a prophet by the inhabitants. Actually, it concealed the image of the creature they worshiped: Arwassa.
The most insidious and despicable were the arrivals masquerading as missionaries. The Christian communities in Asia fell prey to them quickly. The missionary laid out an office and place of worship in a hall-kitchen ensemble in various middle and lower class neighborhoods of the target city. The hall was the main room for worship; the kitchen was set up for the girls in the community. It was not a kitchen. It contained no utensils or equipment for cooking, but only an iron cross with ring holds. There was a simple altar containing an image of Jesus, uncrucified. While the girls of the community worshiped, the missionary would pass among them and feel them. Whenever he felt the emotional and sexual energy of a girl strongly, he chloroformed her and carried her to the cross. Then, he locked her on the cross, exposed her and splayed her legs, He gagged her with tape.
Thus the unsuspecting girl would eventually deliver the descendant of Arwassa, as required by his covenant. He kept her unconscious throughout her captivity. Her family and friends returned home to do their duties and were doubtlessly puzzled but they thought that the missionary had asked her to do some tasks. Meanwhile, the girl never knew that her family left without her. She was alone and under the influence until she delivered.
Delivery was more painful than human deliveries, and very shocking. The fetus had neither arms nor head. Instead it had only the torso, legs and waist of a human child. The torso sported the octopoid tentacles of its true father. The pain of delivery revived the girl and the shock of delivering a non-human child drove her mad. They finally eliminated her and located anew specimen.

The Case of Nisha Grover
Whenever the pastor of a community realized that a girl in the pew knew of a kidnap, he chloroformed her along with the victim. It happened that in a certain Catholic congregation in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, South India that the pastor had passed among the girls in his kitchen in the described manner.
One of the girls had a friend, named Nisha Grover. Nisha belonged to a Scheduled caste community which frequently and persistently had trouble. She was also fetching for her caste but expressed no interest in boys. Nisha was having trouble with her subjects due to problems at home with her family. Her friend suggested that she come and listen to the pastor to get help. Nisha accepted.
That evening, the pastor of that community had passed among the girls and felt the former girl's energies sharply. However, as he handed his tainted handkerchief with a sweet-smelling substance to her and she began to succumb, Nisha suspected foul play. Before she could raise an alarm, the pastor had chloroformed her too. But Nisha would receive a different fate.
He carried both girls behind the kitchen, where he kept the iron cross and exposed and crucified the former girl. He tested her for 'the Lord's will' and then injected her with the formula. However, Nisha remained unconscious on the floor nearby and the pastor decided that he must keep her silent and out of his and the Lord's way/. He summoned his assistant and they found her speech and memory centers of the brain. Then, the tape-gagged her and shaved her scalp. They used common knives to slash open her scalp and enter her brain. They made fast work of her brain, not only disabling speech and memory but also rendering Nisha a 'vegetable.'
Aftermath
After some time had elapsed, the communities and families of the victims were very upset and at first they contacted churches and organizations whom the coven claimed to represent. The organizations claimed to have no knowledge of the matter at all. They were puzzled mad worried. If the church or organization was really innocent, then who was behind the caper? The newborns did not resemble even the children "born of demonic parents". Therefore, the "Church of Satan:" was also uninvolved. [They may have been delighted to hear the news!]
Meanwhile, the coven had shifted by night to a new location. Their Asian members followed them.
In Providence, Rhode Island, the youth had suddenly dreamt again and he had premonitions that the coven would spread. He decided to contact his representative in the state government at his office. He informed the representative of strange alien creatures seeking to reproduce among the illiterate and uneducated people of the less developed countries. The representative listened to him seriously but felt rather skeptical of his report.
Rather daunted, the youth returned home to think of his own plan of action, but it would come to his mind rather late, Three nights after he had visited the representative, he dreamt of a community of half-alien citizens with tentacles instead of arms, eyes that were blind and toothless mouths.

The next day, the youth journeyed out to Arkham, Massachusetts and made a special trip to Covenant Hill. He arrived by 10 PM, but he found no evidence of a coven at the hill. Suddenly, when he turned to leave, his representative called him and said that someone had seen a group of strange characters meeting in Providence.
"Get someone out there fast!" the youth demanded.
His representative replied that they had sent a detective there after noon that day. The detective arrived at Providence as the youth had arrived at Arkham. He discovered a group of strange visitors working on a hill, standing about 10 feet tall. He approached them boldly and demanded to know about them. They took him to a kind of hostel and showed him a room where the witches were tending strange infants. The infants were already grown to the age of 2-3 years of normal human babies. However, they eliminated him before he could leave to report his findings.
Some dreams should become true-but they do not.
Some dreams should not become true-but they do.
