Pakistani Canadian Muslim Identity

Am I Pakistani first?

Am I Canadian first?

Am I Muslim first?

Is it suppose to be

Pakistani Canadian Muslim

Or Canadian Pakistani Muslim

Or just Pakistani Muslims

Or Just Canadian Muslim

Or just Muslim!!!!

Too many titles!!!!!!

You wouldn’t know

Cause I don’t  wear any of these titles on my forehead!!

And Sheeesshhh don’t ask me cause I haven’t figured out the title yet!!!

The major thing is that I am human first!!!

I believe that itself is an identity and

 That is the only label of mine that you do see automatically.

As for the other three titles!!!

I am Proud to be Pakistani

I am proud to be Canadian

And I am proud as I say it out loud!!! To be a Muslim – nothing to hide or to be afraid of!!!
